2013 Chevrolet Sonic

2013 Sonic Adds More Standard Features Over 2012 Model

2013 Chevrolet Sonic

Ever since the Chevy Sonic originally rose from the ashes of the Aveo in 2011, it has held a little soft spot in our hearts. After all, how many cars do you see doing a kick flip on a giant skateboarding ramp? (You’re welcome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwnOr9AGplk ).

For the 2013 model year the Chevrolet Sonic gets a few changes, such as more available features on lower trims levels and a new 7-inch touch-screen featuring Chevy's MyLink multimedia system, which now comes standard  equipped on higher-trimmed models.

Another new addition for the 2013 model year is the sportier looking/handling 2013 Chevy Sonic RS, which comes as a hatchback model. The 2013 Chevy Sonic RS will be available this fall.
The 2013 Sonic is available in sedan and hatchback body styles and come in the following trims: LS, LT or LTZ trims.

One cool addition for the 2013 Sonic is that every model will come with standard Bluetooth connectivity and steering-wheel-mounted controls, which were previously options on the LT trim and unavailable on the LS trim. Every model also comes standard equipped with new integrated blind-spot mirrors.

For the 2013 model year the LT trim now comes standard equipped with cruise control, Bluetooth audio streaming and a USB port. Buyers that opt for the LT with an automatic transmission also get remote start as standard equipment.

The LTZ takes it a step further by adding on a standard rear spoiler, as well as a premium six-speaker audio system that comes standard on both the LT and LTZ trims and are available as an option for the LS trim.

As previously mentioned the 2013 Chevrolet Sonic will have Chevrolet’s MyLink available, accompanied by a 7-inch touch-screen and a navigation system for those with smartphone connectivity. The Chevy’s Mylink comes standard on the LTZ and is available as an option for the LT and LS trims.

Conclusion

The question in most Sonic buyers mind is what vehicle to buy, the 2012 or 2013? The answer to that is simple: Get the 2013. The 2013 Chevrolet Sonic adds on standard Bluetooth and other features to make the 2013 the better buy.

The updated 2013 Chevrolet Sonic goes on sale this summer.
